This button, with the picture of an envelope, will take you to any stack or application you have previously linked to it. If you try to use it without configuring it, it will tell you that you need to link it first. To specify where to link it to, hold the option key down and click on the button. A dialog will appear asking you to select which stack or application you want to link to. Of course, you can cancel at any time - clicking "Cancel" in any dialog will reset the link. You may find it beneficial to connect this stack to your "Address Book" stack or application. If you decide to link the button to a stack, you have the option of opening the stack in a new window before you launch it, so whenever you use the button a stack can appear in a new window. When you link to an application, clicking the button will open the application but will NOT quit HyperCard. For those without Multifinder or System 7.x, quitting the application will bring you back to HyperCard. Otherwise, the application will open in a new window. You can set where the button is to be linked to as many times as you like. Quitting HyperCard will not change the settings. Pressing Command-L or selecting "Linked Stack/App" from the Area/ZIP menu has the same effect as clicking on this button.
